Hello PFA members and supporters,

If you don’t know about the OEA Foundation, you should. The OEA foundation is a place for you as a member to get help for a student in need. You have a student who needs glasses, you can apply for a grant and get the money to help them get glasses. You have a student who needs clothes replaced after a fire apply for a grant and help them get close.

The only way that this fund is filled is by your donations. Hopefully you give money to the foundation every month through payroll deduction.

In addition to that, Jennifer Handsaker is holding a fundraiser through Pampered Chef. You can use the link in the comments to order from Pampered Chef. The order comes straight to your home. And the OEA foundation will get 15% of your purchase as a donation from Pampered Chef. So this is a way to get some great products and support the OEA foundation at the same time.

I am happy to announce that after for Bargaining sessions with the district, we have settled our contract with a three-year deal. Look for the horses mouth in your home emails. We will hold an information session on June 8 at 4 PM via Google meets. 

Thank you to the Parkrose School District team for having tough conversations at the table and being collaborative with us.

Our own Jennifer M Handsaker will be representing us at the NEA RA in Orlando, Florida this summer. Part of the position and work is the raise money for the NEA PAC. NEA PAC helps elect education friendly candidates and Lobbies Congress for education funding and other laws. It would be very helpful if you can help Jennifer in this effort. It’s easy. Just log into her pactivist page and donate any amount you are able. She thanks you for your support.
