Refugee Assistance and Information Network International

RAIN International has been developed by experts in the refugee field in response to the desperate need of the refugees needing protection around the world and the professionals needing assistance serving them. RAIN International pushes the boundaries of a typical non-profit or non-governmental organization (NGO), as it is responsive and flexible to the immediate needs on the ground - unrestricted

by complicated grants and bureaucratic organizational structures. RAIN is fluid and results-driven, using its ever-expanding international volunteer network of professionals as instant support to first line responders via telecommunications. The goal of RAIN International is to shift the mentality away from traditional aid organizations who market “saving” or “rescuing,” and rather reinforce the understanding of a common struggle for basic human rights, integration and ultimately self-sufficiency. RAIN International will also be a platform for information, training and resources. This platform will provide first responders with information regarding programming and best practices. It will share general knowledge for the public on the struggles facing populations arriving as refugees and migrants. These tools will help promote understanding and strengthen the connection to these populations.
