Youth Organized and United to Help to motivate, inspire and empower youth, family and educators to dismantle the school to prison
(1)

Y.O.U.th is a 501(c)3 non profit that works to disrupt and dismantle the school to prison pipeline epidemic through literacy awareness, parent advocacy and challenging existing structures. Our first summit began in 2007 in response to the murder of DaVonte Lightfoot. The summit provided an atmosphere for youth and adults to experience a high level of reasoning and edutainment while also exploring

the elements of Hip Hop which has ancient roots and connections to the so-called African Diaspora. The Summit has featured small business vendors and community based non-profits to provide a wealth of resources and information for all participants. Our keynote speakers have been Professor Griff of Public Enemy, Jasiri X, and Rob Ingram (May Allah Be Pleased with Him).

A rare weekend off, well a Saturday off 😂

We love supporting any non-profit doing the real work in our community.

Extra Innings Baseball/Softball is working with boys/girls and getting them on the field to learn the sport. This program is free for the youth. 🥎⚾️

So we decided to come out on this beautiful sunny day and give away books, get some emails and connect with the community!

Great job Coach Gerald Bolden Beejay Wade for running a dope program this summer.

Count us as a partner!

Summer Camp 2026 was only possible because of incredible community partners who believe in investing in our youth.

A huge thank you to Feed the Mass for providing 60 fresh meals each week for our campers. Your generosity ensured our 13 youth, ages 11–17, had healthy meals every day so they could focus on learning, creating, and building new friendships. Even better, any meals left over each week were shared with families through our Community Closet, extending your impact beyond camp and into our community.

We also want to recognize our amazing partners Portland Parks & Recreation, Community Music Center, and the Multnomah Arts Center Association (MACA) for helping make this summer such a memorable experience. Because of your collaboration, our youth explored music production, visual arts, recreation, creativity, and new opportunities that encouraged them to discover their talents and build confidence.

At Y.O.U.TH., we know it takes a village. Every meal served, every class taught, and every opportunity provided is an investment in the future of our young people.

To all of our partners—thank you for believing in our mission and helping us create spaces where youth can learn, grow, and thrive. We couldn't do this work without you.

❤️💛💚

Look at the growth from the S.E.E.D.S of Y.O.U.TH providing produce for our families. Homemade sunflower seeds. Better than David Seeds 😇
