Tragic news today. We must always take precautions when operating a vessel on the water.

LBC was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a rower who was struck by a personal watercraft while rowing on Lake Muskoka. It is a sobering reminder to stay vigilant in keeping an eye for other boaters while on the water and to take extra measures to increase visibility. This is also an opportunity to have conversations with people who own and operate water vessels about the need to slow down when near boat clubs, marinas, etc., and keep an extra eye out when in those areas for a variety of watercraft traffic that moves at different speeds, varies in height, length and visibility.
Our deepest and sincere condolences to the family and friends of the man who passed away this past weekend.
