Youth Empowered Sewing Our mission is to bring free sewing classes to at-risk and low-income youth, teaching them how to alter and mend clothes.

YES is a mobile sewing studio that enables sewing, alteration, and mending to be taught to youth, with a focus on at-risk communities. YES received its first grant on January 28th, 2014, from Awesome Portland. Please contact us if you would like to become a part of YES, or think you could benefit from our services. We are looking forward to creating a network and becoming a resource for all of Portland.
