Grant Opportunities
April 15 Applications due to Portland Parks Foundation’s Small Grants Program which awards financial support to community-based organizations within the city of Portland who foster equitable access to our urban parks, natural areas, community gardens and community recreation centers. These $2,000 grants can be directed towards special programs or general operations support. The program is founded from a generous bequest from Nancy Hebb Freeman.

Due by April 21 Metro Community-led programs sponsorships provide funding for community organizations a nd groups to facilitate connection to nature for historically marginalized communities.

SPACE Grants • East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District Small Projects And Community Events Grants (SPACE) grants are awarded monthly on a first-come, first-served basis. April 25, 2026, 9:30 AM The 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade, celebrating 20 years, all weekend event featuring the Funtastic Carnival, food carts, farmer’s market, classic car show and Parade! Be in or volunteer 82rosescec.com/volunteer-registration
Volunteers set up staging areas, help check in entries, support award presentations, & assist parade participants line up. Volunteer Traffic Marshals keep Parade route on 82nd clearly marked & safe, are at cross streets and driveways to make sure barricades in place. Volunteers receive a FREE bright event t-shirt, Starbuck’s coffee & pastries, access to festivities, and a ticket to Funtastic Carnival located in Hong Phat parking lot!
