Northwest Therapeutic Horticulture -NWTH We are a professional networking group for people interested in horticultural therapy and therapeutic horticulture.

Rooted in Portland, OR and the surrounding Cascadia bioregion, NWTH aims to promote the use of horticultural therapy through advocacy, education, and community engagement. We are a group of Horticultural Therapists (HTR & HTM), Horticultural Therapy Students (HTS) and other allied professionals. We are not a chapter of the American Horticultural Therapy Association (AHTA), though as therapeutic ho

Leach Botanical Garden is looking for a Propagator/Gardener to join the Horticulture team. This is a hybrid role that will spend approximately half their time working in the garden’s nursery and greenhouse facility growing native and ornamental plants for garden use, restoration efforts, gift shop sales, and other garden related needs. The rest of their time will be spent maintaining display gardens where they will be expected to perform all aspects of maintenance to achieve a high standard of quality plant care.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Executive Director, you’ll lead Leach Garden Friends, a nonprofit organization that manages the Garden in collaboration with the City of Portland. Reporting to a supportive and engaged Board of Directors, you’ll oversee a dedicated team of 19 staff members and over 100 volunteers. The Executive Director is expected to maintain a visible presence at Leach Botanical Garden, engaging regularly with staff, visitors, volunteers, and community members. Your leadership will ensure that Leach Botanical Garden continues to flourish as a beloved community resource.
