A big THANK YOU to the Portland Parks Department for implementing a plan to beautify the Cleves Memorial area at the end of Congress Street on the Eastern Prom.
The area is in need of a makeover so work is underway to plant tulips for the spring followed by a flower bed after.
In addition, the posts around the monument damaged several years ago will be repaired.

An observance at Fort Allen Park on the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Please join us for a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Friday, September 11, 8:30 AM, at the 9/11 Memorial at Fort Allen Park.

City officials, Portland Maine Fire Department, and Portland Maine Police Department will gather for a wreath laying ceremony, followed by a moment of silence at 8:46 AM, to mark the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
