Oregon Bass and Panfish Club

Oregon Bass and Panfish Club The Oregon Bass & Panfish Club was founded in 1958. It is a 501(c)(3) warm water fishing Club. Membership is $20 annually (age 16 and older).

"The Mission of the Oregon Bass & Panfish Club is to stimulate interest in warmwater fishing; to preserve waters for warmwater fishing; and to improve warmwater fishing opportunities through cooperation with fisheries stakeholders." The Oregon Bass & Panfish Club is a warmwater fishing club, with a current membership of approximately 200. The Club meets monthly and has Club activities at least onc

e a month from March to October. A multi-page bulletin is emailed to members each month, which features the meeting notice, calendar of Club events, fishing tips and articles of interest relating to "How-To", "Where-To", and "When-To" fish for warmwater species. The Club has annual fishing contests for members fishing from boats and from the bank. Because the Club promotes "catch and release" of fish, entries are submitted with length measurements and, for some species, photographs. Several times each year, Club members gather at various bodies of water throughout the state and engage in what we call fish-ins. Boaters and non-boaters alike go fishing together and pit their fishing knowledge and skills against our favorite warmwater species. This is a very positive and powerful tool in helping us all learn more about the sport. At many of these gatherings, we also participate in fish fries, potlucks or picnics. Over the years, the Club has worked with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife on warmwater fish projects and also provides volunteers for habitat enhancement projects and kids fishing events. Come join the fun, meet new friends, learn about fishing for bass, walleye, yellow perch, crappie, and sunfish (bluegill, pumpkinseed, and warmouth), learn new techniques for catching and new places to fish, and share your knowledge with us. Dual Membership is $25 annually. Since the early 1960s, the Oregon Bass & Panfish Club has been the official record keeper of the State Records for Warmwater Fish caught in Oregon. Oregon Bass & Panfish Club email address is [email protected], and our Website address is www.OregonBassAndPanfishClub.com. MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
