PDX Motorcycle Film Festival

PDX Motorcycle Film Festival The Portland Motorcycle Film Festival is an annual event that screens films showcasing motorcycles. Prevent injury. Save a life. And whatever else you do…ride.

The Portland Motorcycle Film Festival screens feature length and short motorcycle films that showcase the passion of riders and the souls of their machines. The films take us on journeys, showcase creativity and personal vision, and reveal the intensity and speed of the race track. Films are screened at the Hollywood Theatre, a classic Portland venue built in 1926 and recently restored with modern

screen and sound. Films selected for the Festival will be judged by a panel of Portland-based artists and designers who share a passion for motorcycles. Hosted by the Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association, the Portland Motorcycle Film Festival is a fundraiser for Air Fence protective barriers used at Portland International Raceway.

The JUDGES have spoken! Best feature film at the 2026 Portland Motorcycle Film Festival is DIRT TRACK DICKIE! Congratulations director Brent E. Deal, producer Paul d'Orleans, cinematographer Leonard Alexander, and heartfelt thanks to the Vincent Family for their contributions to the film and for attending our event! The movie follows Richard "Dickie" Vincent from 1960s dirt track racing, through the Vietnam War and injury, and on the long road to recovery and riding again. It's about so much more than riding bikes, but at the same time, it's ALL about riding bikes. The film includes archival 16mm footage from the 60s, manually edited by Richard. We won't give away anything more - but you absolutely must see it. And you will FEEL it for a long, long time. Not yet widely available, but the trailer is HERE: https://tinyurl.com/4hb36d36 And check in with The Vintagent for more down the line. We loved it!

The PEOPLE have spoken! Winner of AUDIENCE CHOICE at the 2026 Portland Motorcycle Film Festival is THE DRIXTON! Congratulations director Spenser Robert, to the team of Zack Courts and Spurgeon Dunbar, and especially to Ari Henning and his family. They joined us for the event, Ari was especially engaged and available during our directors/cast gathering, and it was such a pleasure to see the film with them at The Hollywood Theatre. All 400 of us appreciated that very, very much. What a great story, well shot and edited, and an emotional rollercoaster...kinda like the curves of Barber Motorsports Park. If you haven't seen it, DO IT, on the biggest screen you own, at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llOfF6kz61I

The JUDGES have spoken! Best short film of the 2026 Portland Motorcycle Film Festival is RALLY KATS! Congratulations director David Martinez, and riders Kat and Kiyo Kiyonaga! The film follows Kat and Kiyo across America on pre-1920 motorcycles. Mechanical challenge accepted! Persistence required! Style...in spades! In only 12 minutes, this film weaves overlapping journeys - physical, cultural, relationship - into a cross-country love letter to craft and being your true self. SO nicely shot and edited. Find more of Kiyo's motorcycle building work at https://www.kiyosgarage.com and Info about The Motorcycle TransAm Endurance Run at https://motorcycletransam.com and the film itself HERE: https://vimeo.com/1133209902?fl=pl&fe=vl

Since everyone had so much fun last night maybe we should do it again tonight? Sounds good! Doors open at 5:30! And if you get there a little early be sure to check out the newly opened Hollywood Bar immediately next door. A cool little joint that also happens to be serving Piston Pale, a custom brew from our friends at Lazy Days. Oh, and it’s available in the Theatre too! The weather looks promising so we expect a great gathering of bikes out front. We are looking forward to seeing you tonight. We do have to remind you that the show, like all of the shows, is sold out. Thank you for all of your support!

We’re always looking for Only-In-Portland fun at the Film Festival. This year that means a beer collaboration with our friends at Lazy Days Brewing! They’ve come up with Piston Pale Ale for the event - on tap at the Hollywood Theatre and the Lazy Days pub on North Flint Street. Their brewer grew up around motorcycles and punk music, so could easily translate to hops and malt when we said, “Remind us of sunny riding adventures, with enough intensity for a Northwest winter evening in the shop”. His answer - the summer is in the yeast. Piston Pale - Cheers!
