Sabin School Foundation

The Sabin School Foundation is a parent-led non-profit that raises money to hire additional teachers for Sabin School.

The Sabin School Foundation raises money to hire additional teachers above and beyond what the school district allocates. Through the Foundation, parents are able to reduce class sizes and provide additional support and enrichment for their children at school. In previous years, the Sabin School Foundation made it possible to maintain a full-time art program, reduced overcrowded middle school clas

ses by adding a social studies teacher, and provided additional math support by adding a math specialist. Most recently, the Foundation provided funds for an educational assistant for
1st grade classes of over 30 students, a math specialist and additional Middle School instructional time.

All donations to the Sabin School Foundation, a local school foundation under the umbrella of the Fund for PPS, are tax deductible.

The Sabin School Foundation works with Mrs. Lathan to raise funds to fill in gaps in funding for educational staff, and this year we need your help to fund an educational support staff position at Sabin. Educational Support Staff are the glue that keep our classrooms together — especially for students with exceptional needs and those who have historically been underserved. With larger classroom sizes, Educational Support Staff help all of our students succeed.

The Sabin School Foundation is a local school foundation under the umbrella of the Fund For PPS, which is registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. All donations to the Sabin Foundation are tax deductible.

Friday Update: We're at just over $12,000 in donations so far. We're making progress but still have a long way to go to reach our goal of $80,000 to fund educational support staff next year, so we're extending the donation drive through June 3. Every donation counts — $25, $50, $100, $500, $1,000.

Thanks to everyone who made this donation drive a success. We made our second matching goal of $5,000, thanks to two Sabin families, to bring our fundraising total to $28,198! For those who would still like to donate, the Sabin Foundation accepts donations all year. Make your contribution by June 11 to benefit Sabin students in the 2021-22 school year.
