Friends of Camp Susan Curtis

Friends of Camp Susan Curtis Our mission is to provide a transformative camp experience that nurtures self-confidence and a sense of belonging for Maine children facing economic hardship.

Our vision is that all Maine children feel valued and have the opportunity to thrive. Camp Susan Curtis programming is centered around the Camp itself -- a gorgeous residential setting on Trout Lake and on Conservation land in the foothills of the White Mountains. Charming cabins built in the 1930s and 1940s yet updated and renovated by dedicated partners in communities across Maine. A full curric

ulum designed to level the playing field for disadvantaged youth is cleverly disguised as traditional Maine summer camp fun: swimming, fishing, boating, sports, a full theater, dance, visiting artist program, environmental programming -- this camp has it all and every child that qualifies is FULLY SPONSORED by donations. Doesn't get any better than that.

Another unforgettable session at Camp Susan Curtis is in the books.🌻

From swimming across the lake and kicking a soccer ball with new friends to getting lost in a good book and building dams in the stream, Session 3 was filled with moments of adventure, curiosity, and confidence.

Sometimes the biggest growth happens in the simplest moments - trying something new, solving a problem together, or discovering a place where you truly belong.

✨We can’t wait to see where these campers go next.

✨Double your impact today! ✨

This summer, we’re welcoming more campers than ever before!  And more children are arriving without essentials like sneakers, swimsuits, pajamas, clothing, and hygiene supplies.

Before they can jump in the lake, climb the rock wall, or sing around the campfire, we want every child to know they have everything they need to feel comfortable, confident, and like they belong.

Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, every gift made to support campers receiving essential items will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000. Donate at susancurtis.org/donate

Session 2 is in the books, and what an incredible 10 days it has been! ✨

From riding bikes and cooling off with jumps into Trout Lake to soccer games, laughter, and making memories with new friends, our campers embraced every moment.

Every new adventure helped build confidence, friendships, and the belief that they can do hard things.

As we say goodbye to another amazing group of campers, we’re already excited to welcome Session 3! 🌻
