Portland community, I warmly welcome you to join me in a Gathering: The Power of Love to Heal next week October 24th from 6 to 9pm at the Community Marquis in Tualatin.

My goal is to create a meaningful moment in time through music, information, and a guided meditation. My friends musician Calin Matei and licensed counselor Kimberly Dickenson will be joining me. Let’s make it a meaningful experience together in community.

Best,
Chris

Dear friends,

Any of my friends living locally in Portland area, I’d like to invite you to a gathering titled “The Power of Love to Heal.” There will be opening sitar and guitar music. There will be an info session featuring the effects of love - and its absence - on health along with ways to open our hearts to self-compassion; finally we will end the session with a guided meditation.

I encourage everyone to attend. If you are unable, share this with your friends.

Sincerely,
Chris

Attention all parents: An art contest with an important lesson. What happens after a stroke? We are launching a contest for stroke awareness. A child can learn what a stroke is, how it affects someone, and what community support is available.

I encourage children that try to see what it is like to not have both hands to use by wearing a glove as a reminder to not move that hand for a day. How does it work to wash your face? How does it feel to put your shoes on?

The contest is now open for submissions. Please share this with your friends. I would love to see as many children as possible be involved in this contest to raise awareness of strokes.

In partnership with the NW Brain Network, we want to accept children's art submissions to increase stroke awareness and advocacy! Winners will see their work encouraging stroke patients and receive cash prizes
