The project relies primarily on a nature-based, green infrastructure solution to address flooding and water quality in a more climate resilient and sustainable way. The primary project goals of reducing flooding and improving water quality are addressed through expansion and enhancement of existing stream and wetland areas.

Celebrating our Engineering Excellence Grand Award Winner. Congratulations to Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for their project - Electrical Infrastructure at TriMet Powell Garage!!

TriMet had not initially planned for zero-emission vehicles at this site, the team pivoted, modifying the electrical engineering design to accommodate battery electric buses (BEBs) as the industry evolves. The goal was to create a flexible design that supports the roll-out of charging infrastructure as TriMet expands its BEB fleet.

Celebrating our Engineering Excellence Grand Award Winner. Congratulations to Peterson Structural Engineers for their project - Washington Park Historic Reservoir Project!!

The project replaced the two historic 1894 open-air reservoirs with a new 12.4-million-gallon underground, seismically resilient reinforced concrete reservoir. It enhances the reliability of the water system, provides new public access with reflecting pools, walking paths, and a wildlife habitat, and preserves historical elements.

The largest dam removal and river restoration effort in the world reopened over 400 miles of habitat, reconnected tributaries, and returned Oregon and California’s river corridors and floodplains to their historic alignment. This monumental project has restored vital habitat for salmon and other species.

Celebrating our Engineering Excellence Grand Award Winner. Congratulations to Anderson Perry & Associates, Inc. for their project - Water and Wastewater System Improvements!!

This project addressed critical health and environmental issues caused by failing septic systems and shallow private water well sources supplying contaminated groundwater. It successfully transitioned nearly 300 properties to safe, modern municipal water and wastewater service.
