Casa is proud to support our community!

We are honored to partner with Westbrook Regional Vocational Center in supporting Career and Technical Education and were grateful to recently receive recognition for that partnership.

Their CNA program prepares students for meaningful and essential roles in our healthcare system, helping to build the next generation of compassionate caregivers. We couldn't be more proud to support such an important program and invest in the future of healthcare in our community.

This week we celebrate CNA Appreciation Week 2026, and we want to recognize and thank our CNAs for the exceptional care, compassion, and commitment they bring to work every day.

Suzana has been a DSP with Casa since 2017 and currently supports three clients. She is a dedicated, hardworking team player who consistently goes above and beyond in her role. Kind, dependable, and reliable, Suzana brings a calm and easygoing presence to every environment she works in.

She is always willing to lend a hand by picking up extra shifts when needed, and her caring nature shines through the support she provides to her clients each day.

Congratulations to Justin Bessey who was chosen as one of Casa's Employees of the Month for January 2026!

Justin Bessey has worked at Casa since January 2019 when he started as a DSP and later moved to Assistant Manager and now House Manager. Since taking the manager position, together with his assistant manager, Justin has completely turned around a program that once faced chronic staff turnover, transforming it into a stable, well run home that delivers high quality support.

His motivation has always been rooted in doing what’s right for the people we serve, and that dedication is reflected in every aspect of the program he leads. His compassion, integrity, and steady leadership have made a lasting impact on both staff and clients.

Michael Milliken, HR Director, says, “Years ago, I asked Justin what he wanted most from his work and he stated that he “just wants the clients to get great support”—a simple statement that I feel captures the heart of not just who he is, but who all Casa staff are.”
