We’re proud to be a beneficiary of the Elton John Impact Awards – a powerful new platform celebrating the changemakers who are redefining culture and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community.

These awards not only honor individual changemakers, but uplift organizations like Friendly House that support the LGBTQ+ community. Thanks to this support from The Elton John Impact Awards, P&G, and Looking Out Foundation, Elder Pride Services will be able to continue empowering LGBTQ+ older adults through our community-building socials, educational programming, and case management services.

This year’s honorees – including Jonathan Bailey, Laverne Cox, Melissa Etheridge, Billie Jean King, Orville Peck and Chappell Roan – have driven change, shaped culture, and made a positive impact on society.

Tune in to the Elton John Impact Awards on June 1 across iHeartRadio stations or via podcast to hear candid, powerful conversations and stories of impact from this year’s honorees and the organizations that directly benefit from this incredible program.

Facilitated by Trans Rural Lives, this gathering is designed to foster connection, honor collective wisdom, and support the ongoing exchange of practical knowledge.

Through guided conversation and storytelling, participants will explore community-based resources, strategies for resilience, and the histories of care, advocacy, and survival that shape transgender and gender-diverse lives across generations.

Under the new Multnomah County budget, the The Marie Equi Center would face critical budget cuts that impact its long-term sustainability. Marie Equi is one of the key organizations serving unhoused q***r and trans adults in Portland, and a leader in the LGBTQIA2S+ Housing Collaborative (of which Friendly House Elder Pride Services is a member).

If you’d like to make public comment on these changes, please visit bit.ly/saveequi. Written comments will be accepted until Wednesday, June 3.

Facilitated by the volunteers from the City of Roses Death Forum, this is an open and respectful conversation about the topic of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. We will introduce ourselves, including what brought each of us to the Cafe, and allow discussion to flow. We end with a brief check-out on how you are feeling or anything that is on your mind and heart. These sessions are free to all (donations welcome), and are respectful of all communities, belief systems, and LGBTQIA+ friendly.

When: Saturday, May 16
