Adventuresses' Club of the Americas

Adventuresses' Club of the Americas The official home of the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries Convention Miss Fisher Con After countless hours (days, weeks, months...) IN REAL TIME.

A group of women from as far north as Toronto to as far south as Rio de Janeiro were brought together by the awesome power of a certain lady detective and her found family in Melbourne, circa 1928. were spent discussing "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries" ( both Kerry Greenwood's original books and Every Cloud's TV show) online and even in person, a glorious idea came to be: What if we could set up a

spot where we not only met up in person, but had a chance to dive into the topics we love about the show? And thus, the idea of a Miss Fisher Convention was born. In the true spirit of Phryne, the ACotA is not an exclusive group of fangals and celebrates our diverse joy in all things Miss Fisher. We embrace each and every one of the thousands of global fans that the Honorable Phryne Fisher has acquired over the past few years. Think of us simply as a chapter of the wider Adventuresses' Club of the World.

Flat Phryne’s adventures on the way to Miss Fisher Con in Las Vegas continue! Intrigued by all things paleontological, she made her way to Haddonfield, NJ. The most intact dinosaur ever discovered in America was found here, named the Hadrosaurus in honor of the town. While there, to her amazement, she FINALLY met her niece, Flat Peregrine!

From there, the pair made their way to the home of James and Ann Whitall. The home was used as a hospital during the American Revolution. Hearing this story brought up memories of Flat Phryne’s time as an ambulance driver in the Great War, which she shared with Flat Peregrine.

They took in the view of the Delaware River from the Red Bank Battlefield…

…then stopped at a ditch by the Walmart in Deptford. Although it’s not much to look at now, back in 1793 this was the landing site of the first hot air balloon ride in America.

They stopped by Paulsdale, the home of suffragist Alice Paul. Today it’s home to the Alice Paul Center for Gender Justice ( https://www.alicepaul.org)

Ran into some friends from home at the Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital farm…

…before ending their day at the Steel Pier, Atlantic City’s answer to Luna Park.

It was a truly lovely day for our pair to start their relationship. Check back soon to see where they go next!
