Yesterday we had our first FPOC PNW meet up of the year! Vibes and energy were at an all time high, it was palpable in the studio! I am so incredibly honored to have such an amazing turnout, which such an incredible group of people.
When I first took on the reigns with FPOC PNW, I knew the first event had to be a spin class. I had been dreaming of the moment where I look out into a class of predominantly black & brown faces and that dream finally came true.
I have immense respect and gratitude for everyone that showed up, the studio was FULL of laughter, celebration and connection.
FPOC PNW is a community platform, for fitness pros of color to be highlighted, but more importantly, to remind eachother that we’re not alone in this. That there are others who don’t look like majority, who are grinding, leading, coaching, holding space. It is my hope that everyone left not only with a smile on their face, but a sense of community, and relief, that they’re not alone out here.
