“𝙎𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚.”
We hear it all the time.

But here’s the reality:
𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 “𝗸𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻” 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁.

We’ve trapped cats that people swore were “just babies” only to find out they were already 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣.

That’s 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.

❌Cats don’t follow human timelines.
❌They don’t wait until they’re “grown up.”
❌They don’t wait until it’s convenient.

By the 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲.

✅Pediatric spay/neuter has been safely performed for decades.
✅Kittens can be fixed once they reach 2 pounds.
✅Around 3 pounds is typically ideal for us because they can also receive their rabies vaccine.
✅They recover quickly and get back to being kittens fast.

And most importantly…

✅They never get the chance to create the next litter.
✅Every litter prevented means fewer kittens suffering outside.
🙌🏼Fewer overwhelmed caregivers.
🙌🏼Fewer cats entering shelters.
🙌🏼Fewer cats needing rescue.

This is why 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙩.

Because prevention works best before there’s something to prevent.

Last week with critical emergencies the exorbitant veterinary expenses exhausted all our funds. The funds included veterinary costs for this week, our spay/neuter program canceled, and absolutely no funding for food and amenities.

I am personally reaching out for much needed help.

We are preparing for the 7th Annual Online Fundraising Auction and looking for donations. Auction starts late October.
