We are just 4 days away from the Oregon Hmong Summer Picnic at Blue Lake Regional Park! We’ll be located at the Multnomah Shelter, and we can’t wait to spend the day with everyone.

The event is FREE to attend. Please note there is a $5 park parking fee, and cards are accepted.

The weather is looking amazing, so we recommend bringing picnic chairs, blankets, and canopies if you’d like some extra comfort while watching the volleyball competition. After lunch, join us for Bingo with $500 worth of prizes.

Luag Leej Ntxhais will also be selling ice cream to raise money for their dance team, so come grab a treat and support their dancers!

We’ll also be announcing the Hmong artist performing at our 2026 Oregon Hmong New Year Evening Concert. Early tickets will be available for purchase at the picnic. Come see us at the HACO table.

So, can you guess who we’re bringing? Drop your guesses in the comments, and we’ll see you in 4 days!

Over the past several months, Southeast Asian organizations across the Portland metro area, including HACO, have come together to better understand how our communities are represented in data collected by Oregon Health Authority.

This work is important because data helps determine how funding is distributed, where services are prioritized, and how community needs are identified. When our communities are not fully represented, critical needs can go unnoticed.

For those interested in public health, or anyone who simply wants to learn more about this topic we invite you to join us for a free community lunch summit! Food and childcare will be provided.
