If your bike doesn’t feel right, it’s not your body—it might be Q factor.

Q factor affects how your hips, knees, and feet line up on the bike, and it’s often overlooked in bike fits—especially for bigger bodies.

We talk all about it in this episode of the All Bodies on Bikes Podcast.

🎧 Tune in anywhere you listen.

Does riding your bike hurt? You’re not alone—and it’s not something you have to “just get used to.”

Hand numbness, sore shoulders, or saddle pain are often signs that your bike fit isn’t working for your body—not that your body is the problem.

In this episode of the All Bodies on Bikes Podcast, Marley Blonsky and Ellen Noble dig into bike fits, bust common myths, and share practical advice to help riders of all sizes feel more comfortable and confident on a bike.

Bike buying can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re not sure what to look for, what questions to ask, or whether a bike will truly support your body.

For riders in bigger bodies, that often includes questions about bike and component weight limits—something many shops don’t clearly explain.

In this episode of the All Bodies on Bikes Podcast, we walk through the basics of bike buying, including:
• New bikes vs. used bikes
• E-bikes
• Weight limits and durability
• How to find a bike that fits your needs

🎧 Listen anywhere today and approach bike buying with more confidence.

Come one, come all! All Bodies on Bikes is hosting a Portland, Oregon ride on Wednesday, July 16 and we want to see you there! Meet at Irving Park near the restrooms and covered picnic tables at 6 for some social time.

When you arrive at Irving Park head over to the picnic tables to check out our All Bodies on Bikes Merch available for purchase and to sign our waiver.

We will begin the ride at 6:30 after a pre-ride talk. Expect a 6 mile ride with less than 100 feet of uphill riding and a stop at the half-way point which will be Peninsula Park. We will not exceed a pace of 8-miles/hour and will adjust the pace if folks would like to go a bit slower.

This is a no drop ride, that means we will have designated folks at the back of the ride who will have the route and will not leave anyone behind. The route is not quite a loop, we will end the ride at the wonderful for an ice cream social to celebrate with folks heading to Joyride!

All Bodies on Bikes is a non-profit on a mission to create a body size inclusive community, educate and change the bike industry, ensure access to safe and comfortable biking equipment, and celebrate joyful movement on a bicycle. We envision a world where anyone, regardless of body size, weight, or perceived fitness level can safely enjoy a bike ride in a way that is joyful to them.

We believe that all bodies are good bodies, all bikes are good bikes, and all rides deserve to be celebrated! As our friends at The Athletic say, we are all athletic!

The bike route is linked on allbodiesonbikes.com if you’d like to review in advance. Please reach out to or email [email protected] if you have any questions about the ride, or if you’d like to volunteer to sweep, cork, or provide mechanical support. We can’t wait to see you there!
