Check out these beautiful mural proposals from W***y Hernandez for Raleigh Park!

Every student at RP will get a chance to work with W***y during their tech class from March 17 - 19. Students get to help paint the mural! We’re working with and building off the class gift funds raised by last year’s 5th grade class, too.

W***y will work with our students in English and his native language, Spanish. Help us finalize our project funding by following our link in bio 💕

There was music 🎶 dancing 🕺 and glowing fun 🪩 had by all! It was a packed house filled with lots of joy. We love this fun RP tradition and our students showing up in their sparkly best.

Our Raleigh Park Choir did a fabulous job at the assembly this morning, led by our incredible music teacher, Ms Risser.

The RP Choir is made up of 3rd-5th graders and performed in front of a packed house! The choir meets after school one day a week to practice. We also enjoyed special performances by different grade-levels, and every RP student got to participate in the sing along.

We also appreciate our community who came to start their Friday with our performance. There were so many of us, that our audience filed the entire cafeteria, spilling into our foyer 🥰

We’re excited to welcome the Scholastic Book Fair NEXT WEEK!

📚 Set up is TODAY after school (🙋🏽 volunteer!)
📚 Every class will have the opportunity to shop the book fair with their classes on Tuesday, November 12th or Wednesday, November 13th.
📚 Shopping will also be available for families on Thursday from 8AM - 5PM for families to be able to shop during school conferences!
📚 Clean up will happen on Thursday.
📚 Send your student with cash or add funds 💵 via Scholastic’s eWallet for in-school shopping.
📚 Volunteers will set up, help students shop, run the cash registers, and clean up. Our sign up slots are organized by class, too! (🙋🏽‍♀️ volunteer!)

We are also including Teacher Wish Lists this year! Look for teacher’s photo and list when you walk in the library to purchase a book for your child’s class.

We want to give an extra big Tiger Roar to the Beaverton Rotary both for their financial support that will ensure that every Raleigh Park student will go home with a book and for their volunteer hours on Tuesday morning. If you see them in the building, please tell them Thank You!

Join us on Friday night for full-family fun!

Kick off the new school year with a casual community gathering outside school! Make new friends, see old ones, and reconnect with the Raleigh Park community after the summer.

FREE food and drinks provided
Vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

Sign making, scavenger hunt, and older kids can wear the Tiger suit.

We will also conduct our first general/public PTO meeting during this event.

Beaverton deserves neighborhood schools and the community they cultivate. We believe that the school board and Dr. Balderas are paying attention, but we still need to advocate to protect our neighborhood schools.

The Beaverton School Board will hold the following meetings during the month of August:

◾️ Work Session - Tuesday, August 13, 5:45 p.m.
◾️ Business Meeting - Tuesday, August 13, 7 p.m.
◾️ Retreat - Tuesday, August 27, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

All meetings are at the district office and will also be livestreamed on the district's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/beavertonschools
