Last month, Project LEDO had the privilege of attending the 2026 GeekWire Awards, where our Founder and CEO, Fidel Ferrer, was recognized as STEM Educator of the Year.

The evening brought together some of the Pacific Northwest’s most innovative companies, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders. With hundreds of organizations represented—including many leading AI, robotics, and technology companies—it was inspiring to be in a space celebrating innovation at such a high level.

Beyond the award itself, the event provided valuable insights into emerging trends, new technologies, and the future of our industry. It was a reminder that the work happening at Project LEDO is part of a much larger movement to create opportunities through STEM education and technology.

For us, this recognition validates years of dedication to expanding access to STEM learning for youth across Oregon and beyond. It reflects the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to explore robotics, technology, and innovation, regardless of their background or circumstances.

We are grateful to everyone who has supported our journey and look forward to continuing to build pathways that empower the next generation of innovators, creators, and leaders.

We’re honored to receive the STEM Educator of the Year recognition from . 🏆

For those who may not know—GeekWire is a leading voice in technology and innovation, highlighting the people and ideas shaping the future.

To be recognized on that stage… it means something.

But this moment is bigger than an award.
