Empowering young people to discover their full potential through enriching after-school and summer p

09/24/2026

From the Clubhouse to the Portland Metro to the Oregon State Capitol, these young minds are blazing a trail for youth entrepreneurship! 🔥

This month, we took four of our Lemonade Day entrepreneurs 🍋 on the road to share their experiences with the Oregon House Committee on Economic Development, Small Business & Trade.

Harlynn (Blazers Club), Trevon (Clegg Club), Bobee (CareOregon Club), and Grayson (Inukai Club) were an inspiring addition to the hearing, reminding us all that young people's entrepreneurial spirit can develop as early as we empower it. 💪

Special thanks to . Daniel Nguyen for inviting us! The future of Oregon’s workforce is bright! 😎

Oh how far we've come! 🍋 📈

It's been amazing to watch the Lemonade Day program evolve into what it is today since we first started in 2023. ⏪

And we couldn't have done ANY of it without the support of the Portland Metro community. THANK YOU for uplifting and cheering on our ambitious and talented youth over the years! 🤩

The results are in, and they're certainly SWEET! 😋

On August 1st, over 100 Boys & Girls Club youth participated in Portland's 4th annual Lemonade Day across the metro area. Together, our young entrepreneurs:

🍋 Sold 2,298 cups of lemonade
💵 Earned $5,340 in sales
❤️ Received $4,433 in tips
🎉 Generated $9,773 in total revenue
🤝 Donated $753 to local charities of their choice

All 20 of our teams brought their A-game this year, but we wanted to give a special shout-out to Blazenade, who brought in the most revenue + tips with their stand, and The Dream Team who sold the most cups of lemonade!

Once again thank you to our amazing sponsors who helped make this program and event possible. See you next year!

It was an unforgettable Lemonade Day this past Saturday! 🍋 Our youth entrepreneurs were on a mission to serve up something sweet, and boy did they deliver! 💪

All summer, over 100 youth at our five clubs learned how to start, own, and operate their very own business—a lemonade stand! On Saturday, 20 teams took their stands to market for a friendly competition to sell the most lemonade! 💰

Special thanks to our sponsors, stand hosts, volunteers, and community members like YOU who came out to support our youth entrepreneurs at their stands! 🫶

🍋 Lemonade Day is finally here, happening this Saturday!

For the past 6 weeks, our young entrepreneurs have been creating business plans, designing their stands, setting goals, and getting ready for the big day.

Now it's your turn to support them! 💛

Join us this Saturday, August 1, from 10 AM–3 PM and visit one (or a few!) of our 20 Lemonade Day stands across the Portland metro area. Grab a cup of lemonade, meet these inspiring young business owners, and celebrate all of their hard work.

And the best part? Every dollar they earn stays with them—supporting their entrepreneurial journey and rewarding all the hard work they've put into building their businesses.

🍋 What is Lemonade Day?
Lemonade Day teaches 4th and 5th grade youth at Boys & Girls Clubs how to start, own and operate their own business in the form of a lemonade stand! After 6 weeks of a hands-on entrepreneurship curriculum—where youth practice goal-setting, budgeting and pricing, branding, marketing, and customer service—they take their stands to market for a one-day community celebration and competition, with 20 different stands sprawled across the Portland Metro Area!

But we need YOUR help! Volunteer support from community members is what will make this event a SUCCESS. Whether you’re setting up a stand, delivering lunch, washing dishes, or cheering on our youth—we can’t do this without you!

Sign up today! https://signup.com/go/vzRRcrZ

🍋 Can’t Volunteer This Time Around?
