When climate science and education are under attack in our nation, Friends of Tryon Creek continues our legacy of supporting teachers and students to spend time learning, hiking, and researching at Tryon Creek State Natural Area.

You can support thousands of students at this crucial time by donating to Friends of Tryon Creek during our 2:1 Match Challenge, made possible by the John D. Gray Friends of Tryon Creek Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation.

We've had a spring full of staff transitions, and we are excited to welcome Allena as our Grants Program Manager and Ava as our Seasonal Lead Camp Instructor. Both started in person this week, so we took a field trip to nearby Elk Rock Garden, to take in the views and geek out on plants ๐Ÿ’š

Pictured in the back row Ava, Queenaly, Amy, Betty, Jonathan, Lili and Lena. In the front row T and Allena.

We are also happy to welcome Interim Executive Director Elizabeth Kennedy-Wong to lead the organization throughout the summer and support staff and board during our leadership transition. She'll make it to our next field trip!
