🖤 Black Business Month may have ended yesterday, but our commitment to Black-owned businesses continues year-round.
Last Friday, the Black Business Association of Oregon (BBAO) brought together Black-owned food and beverage entrepreneurs, community leaders, and elected officials for a powerful evening of conversation and connection.
Oregon Secretary of State Tobias Read and Multnomah County Commissioner Shannon Singleton joined entrepreneurs from Stoopid Burger, Lo’Rell’s Chicken Shack, Savage Soulful Eatz, Drip Drop Coffee, DB Dessert Company, Sweet Temptations, Blends by Swin, and Aztec on Broadway to share experiences, ideas, challenges, and opportunities for strengthening Black-owned businesses.
A big shout-out to the businesses that showed up in support: Le Bontemps, Muchas Gracias, West Coast Business, Black Rose Liquor, Trap Kitchen/The EAST, Chef Snow, Kylla Kooks, and FN Smoked. Community showing up for community is what collective uplift looks like. 🖤
