Photo today at Cathedral Park Fishing Dock of the oil buoys used to prevent oil spills from getting into the river. With our last rain they detached and floated to the dock. You can see how they are made. And that they don’t hold up too well

I was at Cathedral Park and saw all the ducks from the river were following this man around. He has been cleaning up the park as a volunteer for 21 years. He also fed the ducks who happily follow him around. He is a metal man, he told me and he goes to church in Linnton every Sunday. He told me how people don’t like people from Mexico but here he is everyday picking up the park. He was an inspiration and I loved watching his devoted duck family. Thank you for all you do to keep the park clean⭐️

Wonderful display at the BEAM Learning Hub. Michael Pouncil and I were happy to teach the students about the lower Willamette this summer. Their tri-fold boards demonstrated all they learned. Check it on the corner of Cleveland and Mason. Loved having some of the BRC portraits as guests during the Block Party.
