You guys showed up for the Holiday Market on Saturday! 👏 We are so grateful for our wonderful volunteers and almost 30 vendors, who made this day a big success. The day ran smoothly, and it was a joy to interact and gather around the mission of HRF — to serve families who have experienced child loss.

Thanks for all who came to shop and support local artisans. We sold out of soup and chili and almost out of homemade donuts. (They were incredible!) With much gratitude, we are happy to report that we raised almost double the amount for HRF as we did at the 2024 Market. 🙏 🎉

Join us for our third annual Holiday Market, featuring artisan vendors. Free entry!!! Proceeds go to furthering our mission of serving local families who have experienced child loss.

This year the market is held from 10-3 at The Gathering Church in Portland in a fully-accessible, bright, airy space. Check off your holiday shopping list and enjoy a hot cup of coffee or delicious soup or chili.

Parking available in a gated lot behind the building and on the street. Conveniently located right off 205. Address: 5921 SE 88th Ave, Portland, OR 97266.

The HRF board made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Butterfly Release Brunch event. This would have been our fifth annual event, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve the countless families and individuals who have joined us on their healing journey.

Many factors went into this decision including personal challenges in the lives of our planning team, lack of volunteers, and low registration only weeks out from the event. One of the unique things about the butterfly release is how we personalize and honor each life lost, and this task takes our team time to prepare. We apologize for not getting the event registration broadcasted earlier. From the bottom of our hearts, we are sorry to announce this year’s event postponement.

March 25th is “Say Their Name Day”

It’s a day in the midst of busyness where we can take a moment to pause and come alongside friends or family in our lives who could be grieving the loss of a pregnancy, infant or child loss. ❣️

How to use slides: choose to share one or multiple names, share to your story, add text to slide & place the child’s name or name(s) to repost in stories. Tag parents to show your love!

Posting a slide to honor a child’s life and show support to a family is really a simple gesture of many. Take it an extra step further at some point today or this week to find a way to serve the individual or family in a special way. 💫

Acts of kindness provide opportunities of connection and healing. 💔❤️❤️‍🩹

The Pedersen Family has made the very difficult decision of postponing Micah’s Egg Hunt until 2026.

They are in a season of needing to focus on some serious health related issues. Please respect their privacy during this time and be praying for them. 🙏🏻

There are so many answers to this question…

Here are some of the most important reasons that keep HRF motivated and mission focused:

🩶 it reduces feelings of isolation for the family hurting
🩶 creates a sense of community and hope
🩶 it helps the family or individual avoid unhealthy coping mechanisms
🩶 helps the family move forward in adapting to a new normals of living life

Burdens are not meant to be carried alone. 💗
