The Royal Rose Foundation was selected through the Foundation’s youth-led giving initiative meaning students themselves chose to invest in the work we’re doing around overdose prevention, youth advocacy, and community support.

As an organization that prioritizes youth voice, leadership, and advocacy, that means everything to us. Especially at a time when so many young people are directly impacted by fentanyl, violence, grief, and systemic barriers.

This is why we do the work. 🤍

Excited to carry this momentum into our 2nd Annual Royal Rose Mixer on May 30th 🌹

Illegally made fentanyl is a growing threat in the United States and is a major contributor to drug overdose deaths. Fentanyl is now the primary driver of the overdose crisis in Oregon.

On this , help raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl. OHA recommends the following strategies to prevent accidental overdose:
• Unless a pharmacist directly hands you a prescription pill, assume it is counterfeit and contains fentanyl.
• Assume any pills obtained from social media, the internet, or a friend are counterfeit and contain fentanyl.
• If you are using pills, don’t use drugs alone and always have naloxone on hand and visible.
• Test your drugs with fentanyl test strips before you use them. Fentanyl test strips can often be accessed at local harm reduction sites. Be aware that even if your drugs test negative, they may still contain fentanyl.

Mother’s Day holds a different weight for so many families impacted by the fentanyl crisis.
This work is deeply personal to us at The Royal Rose Foundation. We know the grief, the silence, and the lasting impact fentanyl poisoning continues to have on families and communities every single day.
Today, we honor the mothers we carry with us, the families navigating loss, and the people continuing to fight for healing, prevention, and change. 🌹
Our work will always be rooted in love, community, education, and care for the people we serve.
If you’d like to support our work, donations can be made through the link in our bio.
