Our club likes to partner with other non-profit groups who provide services for children. Today we helped out at a Pickleball tournament put on by On Belay, an organization that provides services and programs for children who have a family member facing a cancer diagnosis.

Two weekends of our Kiwanis Duck Pluck. Last weekend at Market Square Day in Portsmouth, and yesterday at the Kittery Block Party. We made about $1500 total. Thanks to all the club members who helped out in this successful fundraiser.

It was a busy weekend for our club. We had a work day project on Saturday at the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, raking, clearing brush, planting and painting. Then Sunday was our Signature Project giving away bike helmets at Children's Day in Portsmouth. Any child needing a helmet was fitted with one by our expert helmet fitting club members. The weather was cool and wet, but we still gave away over 200 helmets. In between those two projects we had some fun at a Derby Day Party at the home of one of our nembers.

Our club will be at Children's Day in Portsmouth on Sunday, May 4th from 12-4. We will be fitting and giving away bike helmets to any child in need. Come find us at the Steamship Company parking area.

Four club members attended the Mid Winter Conference on Saturday. It was a great day of reconnecting with other club members and sharing how to build and improve your club. There were two service projects, and even some time to get outside and explore Portland.

Congratulations to the Kiwanis Little League team for winning the City Championship tonight. Club president Frank accepted the trophy on behalf of the Kiwanis Club of the Seacoast.
