We have upcoming “NEWS” about LymeTV's Tick JEDI Health Education Program which is currently being used by thousands of children across multiple states. Our program teaches youth tick bite prevention education as a life skill to ensure kids grow up living happy & healthy lives. Our program is free for schools, youth organizations, & camps. If you know anyone who works at any of these institutions, please direct them to register for our free program.⁠

Meghan C. Bradshaw, our Director of Advocacy, is making a huge difference by sharing her story. Great feature, WebMD! 💚👏👏

Meghan Bradshaw has had 16 joint reconstructions and eight joint replacements, all before age 30. This is due to a late diagnosis of Lyme disease, which is a tick-borne illness that can be treated and cured if detected early.

It also demonstrates why our Coalition fights so hard for tick safety education and shows what an incredible force Meghan is. The Tick JEDI Coalition website is officially LIVE! After months of hard work and patience, we are pleased to announce the launch of our brand-new site, tickjedicoalition.org.

At this website, you can read about Coalition's mission, team, and partners, read our Tick JEDI blog, become a volunteer, get shareable materials that will help you advocate in your state, sign up for our newsletter to stay updated with the latest news and action items, and more. The site is a great way to spread the word about the work we are doing and the change we are making state by state to ensure tick safety education in schools.

🚨 HUGE NEWS! 🚨

Tick JEDI has its first legislative win! IL HR 780, passed unanimously in Illinois earlier this month, makes May officially Lyme Disease Awareness month *and* encourages the Illinois Department of education to begin providing critical tick safety education to kids in schools. The Resolution also encourages this education to take place on a federal level.

Illinois Lyme Association began working on getting Tick JEDI passed as a resolution this year. Our IL Coalition partner has worked hard to get legislation passed in IL and was integral in helping us add the educational component to this Resolution.

We are excited about this progress--this success--in our mission to get tick bite prevention education into the mainstream health sciences curriculum to keep kids healthy across the nation. Huge thanks to our partners at Illinois Lyme Association for their advocacy.

Let this be a sign to all that change is possible and on its way. Your state can be next--contact us to get involved!
