The Northwest Community Conservancy (NWCC) Outreach Team is on the ground in the Pearl delivering humanitarian services for a safer, stronger neighborhood weekdays and weekends.

Shoutout to our team member, Brendan Jamieson, who is out in the Pearl on weekends, for connecting with residents and capturing photos of three dedicated community leaders all in one pass.

If you see the NWCC Outreach Team around the neighborhood, say hello.

Have you heard about the Safer Portland Ballot Initiative?

A proposal is circulating to direct a portion of surplus Portland Clean Energy Fund (PCEF) revenues — now nearly $200M/year — toward public safety improvements, including:

- Hiring additional police officers
- Reducing 911 and emergency response times
- Expanding community policing
- Pairing officers with mental health professionals for the right response in every situation

Right now, organizers are in the signature-gathering phase to qualify the initiative for the ballot. Signing the petition simply gives Portland voters the chance to weigh in — it's not a vote for or against the measure.

Want to learn more or get involved? Join PDNA and the ballot initiative group on June 22, 2026 at Portland Center Stage (5pm) for a community Q&A and signature gathering event.

Portland voters may soon decide how to direct surplus Clean Energy Fund dollars toward public safety. Learn what the Safer Portland ballot initiative proposes and how to get involved.
