Happy last day of school!

As we close out the school year today, my heart is incredibly full. On behalf of the Porter Elementary PTO, I want to send a deeply felt thank you to every single parent, guardian, and family member who supported us this year. Because this was our first full year of fundraising, we truly did not know what to expect. You completely blew us away by exceeding our wildest expectations, and your generosity allowed us to accomplish things we never thought possible.

We sent a letter home with students detailing exactly how your donations were used to fund amazing things for our school this year. However, knowing how backpacks work—my own child "couldn't find" theirs—I know many of those notes didn't make it to you! I will be sharing that letter with you shortly so you can see the direct impact of your kindness.

I also want to pause and express our deepest gratitude to our incredible outgoing board members: our Secretary, Stacy Bryan and our Treasurer, Cristina Briones. Stacy and Cristina, you have poured so much love, time, and energy into our school community. You will be missed more than words can say, and you are leaving behind some truly massive shoes to fill. Thank you for setting us up for success. Looking ahead, we officially welcomed Lidia Cogdill as our new Secretary and Brenda Fonseca as our Interim Treasurer at our last meeting.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for locking arms with us this year to support our students and staff. We simply could not have done this without you.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all teachers and staff for the incredible work you do for our children. Your commitment and care mean so much to our community.
We also want to thank our volunteers whose support helped bring this event to life. We truly appreciate each of you.
We hope you enjoyed the treats from Fig & Table Coffee Co., the Bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and the scent bar experience.
