🚨 SYSTEM FAILURE: THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST 🚨
What happens when the people who are supposed to hold the system accountable are the same people who benefit from protecting it? You get a devastating Conflict of Interest, and the public is the one that pays the price.
In Plain Language: A conflict of interest means an official's personal or professional interest prevents them from doing their duty to the public fairly. When the people investigating claims of misconduct are partners, colleagues, or friends of the accused, we have a massive transparency deficit.
This isn't theory. This structural flaw enables the system failure we are exposing right here in Roosevelt County. It’s why crucial video evidence disappears and why accountability is nearly impossible to achieve.
We continue to pursue justice in Case D-911-CR-2016-00082 (Armando, Cynthia, and Asia Peña), demanding external, impartial oversight. The cycle of self-protection must end.
We are calling for genuine oversight, not just internal investigations.

🚨 CONFLICT OF INTEREST EXPOSED: Sheriff Malin Parker's Dual Role is a System Failure 🚨

We've uncovered a shocking structural flaw at the heart of Roosevelt County government: Sheriff Malin Parker is also serving as the District 2 County Commissioner.
This isn't just a political oddity—it's a massive, self-serving Accountability Gap and the definition of System Failure.
⚠️ The Problem: Circular Power and Zero Oversight
As a County Commissioner and member of the Finance Board, Sheriff Parker has a vote on:
• The budget and funding for the Sheriff's Office (the agency he runs).
• The organizational structure and resources for his own department.
• The very policies that the Sheriff's Office is supposed to enforce or be held accountable under.
Who oversees the Sheriff when the Sheriff is voting on his own oversight?
This consolidation of power is why evidence, like the video in Case D-911-CR-2016-00082, can simply "disappear." This is a system rigged for non-transparency and the suppression of opposition. It is the root cause of the policy, custom, and routine of retaliation that the 2017 recall petition (filed by myself and Cody Banister) correctly identified.
We demand immediate answers: How can one person hold two offices that are designed to check and balance each other? This ethical failure must end.

Accountability cannot be avoided.

The people of Roosevelt County deserve transparency, yet for years, greed and favoritism have ruled in the shadows.

It is no coincidence that the owner of Truck Fleet LLC is closely connected to a county commissioner—family ties should never shield corruption.

When private business interests overlap with public office, the people lose. Decisions are no longer about fairness, justice, or community—they are about profit and power.

The time for secrecy is over. The time for accountability is now.

Roosevelt County will see the truth. The people will see the truth.
