Know that my practice is to treat the person in my office or home as the first priority, the person I am currently speaking to on the phone is a higher priority than the person who is calling at the moment, and that I do recognize emergencies take priority over routine business. If you are in a crisis, tell me that in a text message by letting me know how urgent a return call is and I will do my best to respond ASAP. Because NM and West Texas are not the most "cell phone friendly" areas in the US, there are times when I don't have the best coverage. I also do my best to check email regularly, so by all means send me an email communication too. I promise I will never feel harassed or harangued. Send me a communication via facebook too....I don't know how to read smoke signals, so that is probably not your best communication strategy! We have a wonderful, full-time counselor in Celest Worley-Utley. Celeste can and will help both birth parents and adoptive parents with counseling and adjustment issues.
