We officially have a new rock stand 🪨✨

The top shelf is our take a painted rock, leave a painted rock space. The basket underneath is filled with plain rocks that already have QR codes on the back, ready to be painted and hidden around the community.

We have retired our original setup and are still working on decorating and improving this one. We want it to feel fun, creative, and welcoming for everyone.

We are especially looking for ideas for signage, so if you have any suggestions or creative touches you would love to see, drop them in the comments. We are always open to ideas 😊

We are open every day weather permitting until dark. Everything is brought back inside at the end of the night. There are security cameras around the property, so please be respectful.

Happy painting, happy hiding, and happy hunting 🪨✨

Just stepped out of Aylesworth Elementary School after spending most of the morning here. I promised the fourth graders last week that I would come on the last day of school to help them celebrate the part of Portage history they are now part of as Aylesworth Elementary is soon to be demolished and the new Aylesworth Middle School will be built where it once was. For many of the students, they will be back in the new Aylesworth Middle School when they get older. In the meantime, the fifth and fourth graders are off to the new Fegely Intermediate School next year and the kindergarteners, first graders, second graders, and third graders will be going to other schools like Central, Myers, and Crisman, keeping in touch with old friends and making new ones. Teachers and staff are heading to new schools too, and I ask that we keep all of them in our prayers and cheer them on as they all embark. I told the newspaper reporter at the school today that the Aylesworth Family of students, parents, teachers, and staff is an incredible example of a community of strength, love, and support, and it's reflected in every event they have done and even just in every regular school day. Now they're taking the spirit of Aylesworth with them to other schools all over Portage, paving the culture coming to Aylesworth Middle School one day.

🎨🪨 ROCK STATION IS OPEN 🪨🎨

Portage, you already know what time it is!

Head over to 2787 Belmont Street and see what’s waiting for you 👀

On top you’ll find painted rocks ready to trade. Pick one, leave one, keep the chaos of creativity going.

Inside the drawers there are blank rocks just sitting there, waiting for someone to turn them into something amazing. Every rock has a QR code on the back so when someone finds it, it brings them right back here.

This is a community thing built on kindness, creativity, and fun. So please be respectful, keep it fair, and help keep the magic alive for everyone.

🇺🇸 Fourth of July rocks are coming in hot, so if you’ve got patriotic masterpieces, message first so we can set them aside for the holiday lineup.

Come trade, come create, come lurk and admire, just come be part of it ❤️🤍💙🪨

Everything gets brought in every night.

Happy painting, happy hiding, happy hunting, and may the rock odds be ever in your favor. 🎨

🎨🪨 We’re Open for the Day! 🪨🎨

Stop by and check out the Rock Station at 2787 Belmont Street, Portage!

On top, you’ll find painted rocks available for trading. Just leave a painted rock and take a painted rock. Inside the three drawers, there are plenty of blank rocks ready to go, each with a QR code attached to the back. Once someone finds your rock and scans the code, it will bring them right back to this page!

This is a community project built on kindness and honesty. We do have security cameras around the property, so please be respectful and help us keep this fun for everyone.

🇺🇸 If you have any Fourth of July themed painted rocks you’d like to donate for the 4th of July festivities, please send us a message first so we can keep them separate from the regular rocks.

Whether you’re picking up rocks, trading rocks, or just stopping by to see what it’s all about, we’d love to have you participate. Happy painting and happy hiding! ❤️🤍💙🪨

A big thank you to Tina Marie for finding this rock at Founders Square! 🪨💙

What makes this one extra special is that it was painted by a student at Willowcreek Middle School! Seeing rocks created by local students being discovered out in the community is exactly what this project is all about.

Who knows where the next rock will turn up? Keep your eyes open and happy hunting! 👀✨🪨

Thank you to everyone who stopped by today to pick up plain rocks and trade painted ones. Today was the very first day having it open for the public and it was amazing seeing people come throughout the day and take part in it. ❤️

It truly means a lot to see this idea already bringing the community together in such a simple and creative way.

The rock station will be back out again tomorrow for anyone who missed it or wants to come by again. Looking forward to seeing what everyone creates next.🎨
