The ILI Education Summit is back!

This FREE all-day event for Latino high school students will be held at 3 locations this September:

South Bend - Century Center
Sept 1st from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. EST.

Indianapolis - JW Marriott
Sept 9th from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. EST.

Evansville - Old National Event Plaza
Sept 14th from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. CT.

Students will hear from a keynote speaker, attend workshops, and have the opportunity to interact with universities and businesses through the College & Career Fair.

An estimated 4.6 million Mexicans are deaf or hard-of-hearing, according to Mexico's statistics agency. There is a chronic shortage of certified MSL interpreters, though many Mexicans act as unofficial interpreters for deaf or hard-of-hearing family members.

Estrella Salazar, a 17-year-old science whiz from a working-class town near Mexico City, was inspired by her sister to develop an app to help deaf and hard-of-hearing Mexicans communicate more easily.
