Portage Area United Way Our mission is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another. The organization is run completely by a volunteer Board of Directors.

The Portage Area United Way is an organization that provides funding to a multitude of Portage area agencies who provide much needed services to those in our community that need it most. All money raised stays right in our community and benefits your friends and neighbors! Some of the local agencies the Portage Area United Way has proudly funded are:
• River Haven Homeless Shelter
• Habitat for Humanity
• Aging and Disability Resource Center
• Hope House for victims of domestic violence
• Columbia County CASA
• Portage Library Foundation
• Kinship Mentoring of Columbia County and many others!
