Our thoughts and heartfelt support are with the brave firefighters and the community affected by the devastating Robbins Lumber fire in Maine almost 3 weeks ago.

Although this tragedy unfolded hundreds of miles from Port Vue, it resonates deeply with us. Vigilant Hose Company #1 of Port Vue has personal connections to this incident, as a former member now resides in the area of one of the responding fire departments. (As a firefighter and an ems provider.) This situation serves as a poignant reminder that the firefighting brotherhood and sisterhood transcends state boundaries.
For those who may not be aware, the departments involved in the response faced significant losses, including two tankers and one engine.
The loss of apparatus is a substantial challenge, but the task of replacing the equipment, hoses, fittings, tools, and supplies carried on those units is even more daunting.
We are reaching out to our fellow fire departments and emergency service organizations to help us support those in need.
If your department has surplus hoses, fittings, adapters, tools, equipment, or any firefighting-related items that could aid the departments affected by this incident, we encourage you to reach out to us directly through this page or contact our former Chief, John Michael Kerr
In times of adversity, the fire service unites. Let us demonstrate to these courageous firefighters that they are not alone as they work to rebuild and continue serving their communities.
This serves as an initial outreach, and we will keep the community informed in the coming weeks. Should we gather enough items, our former Chief has committed to driving up to deliver the donations we collect.
Please share this message so we can reach as many departments as possible. Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you.
