We had a wonderful summer camp season! Our days were full of fun and meaningful moments. Good times were had by campers, family members, youth leaders, staff, and our partners. Big thanks to for our inaugural collaboration.

Exciting news! The Benji Project is moving into a new office space! We’d love to pass along our current home to another great business, organization, freelancer, or creative. Available starting September 1st.

- Location: Ground floor of the historic Brigid’s Loft / Good Templar’s Building (Super easy downtown access!)
- Size: 255 sq. ft.

Ready for a unique summer adventure? We’re pairing mindfulness practices and trail exploration at Fort Worden with exciting maritime experiences, in partnership with Northwest Maritime

✨ Highlights:

⛵ Two half-day sea sessions on a Longboat, led by a licensed Captain.

🛶 Honor Indigenous traditions with guest teacher Sabrina McQuillen Hill (Makah Nation), sharing the living history of the Canoe Journey.

🤝 Special invitation to witness and support the Canoe Journey landing on Saturday, July 25th.

We are thrilled to be partnering with Northwest Maritime! Campers will spend two days rowing and sailing aboard a 26 foot historic longboat as part of the camp. The rest of the week will involve beach and forest exploration, learning about indigenous maritime culture and experiencing mindful self compassion practices.

The Benji Project is hiring part-time Mindful Self-Compassion instructors to bring life-changing tools to youth and families across Clallam County. If you're passionate about youth mental health and education and are looking for meaningful, flexible work, we encourage you to apply!

Position starts at $29/hr and roughly 15-20 hours per month. You'll teach in schools, at after-school programs, and in community settings, and receive full paid training. Priority application deadline: July 22nd.

In recognition of May Mental Health Awareness Month, The Benji Project invites you to an immersive art installation experience designed by local middle & high school students...."MAKING ROOM"

FREE event!

Friday, May 8
Open to the public, 6 - 8PM
Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 4-H Building

This installation is the culmination of an intensive art workshop process, which began in March 2026. This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Explore the inner landscape of a teenager. Come out and support our local students!

We’re looking for a passionate professional who can juggle high-level financial strategy with the day-to-day magic that keeps a nonprofit running smoothly.
