💥We are hiring!💥

The Port Townsend Playschool is looking for a fun, energetic and compassionate teacher.

Looking for someone to teach and provide activities for children from 9 months old to 4 years old.

Class is currently 1 morning per week from 9:30-11:30. Right now we meet on Wednesdays but there is the option of changing that with the next quarter which starts in January. And the possibility of adding another morning.

Compensation is $ 18- $20 per hour for both class room hours and preparation hours.

JeffCo friends who are on Apple Health or uninsured: the Smile Mobile will be at Blue Heron Dec 7-10. Call 888-286-9105 to schedule your dental appointment. They are offering dental exams, fluoride varnishes, sealants, simple extractions, temporary fillings and x-rays.

Port Townsend Dental Clinic - August 16 through August 19
Baby teeth are important - they help us smile, eat, talk and hold space for permanent teeth. Oral health affects a child's readiness to learn. Children with pain caused by cavities have a hard time paying attention in class and miss school days.
The SmileMobile is in Port Townsend and located at the Gael Stuart building - 1610 Blaine St. (across the street from the high school).
Dr. Paul Phillips and team will see individuals and families on Apple Health (state Medicaid) and uninsured. Please call 888.286.9105 or 206.276.1620 to schedule. Currently making appts. for Wednesday and Thursday.

Heads up Port Townsend area - do you have children under age 5? If so, on Saturday May 8th from 10 to 2 in the Safeway parking lot, the Rotary will be registering children for the Dolly Parton Immagination Library. Even if you have a new born! That could equal up to 60 free books age appropriate, until age 5.

I have seen that the rotary is asking for a $25 donation but it is not mandatory. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is free!

Jefferson Healthcare received a state grant to investigate the need for more child care in East Jefferson County and propose solutions. To help us understand the current situation and how we might help improve it, we seek input from families & invite you to complete a survey.

The survey is:
• open to parents and caregivers of kids 12 and under
• brief; should take 10 minutes or less
• anonymous
• ends Friday 2/12, end of the day
