MEMBER SPOTLIGHT!

For over 30 years the Klamath Forest Alliance (KFA) has worked to protect the forests, watersheds, and wildlife of the Klamath-Siskiyou Mountains in Northern California and southwestern Oregon. They combine passionate advocacy, deep knowledge of the land, on-the-ground public land monitoring, community organizing, grassroots environmental activism and litigation to protect biodiversity and habitat connectivity from the Yolla Bolly Mountains to the Siskiyou Crest.

The Federal Forest Carbon Coalition has compiled years of research on how so-called “salvage logging” has few ecological benefits (if any) and how it harms green trees and creates a net impact that is far from carbon neutral. ⁠

We advised the Obama Administration as far back as 2014 that heavy equipment and salvage logging damages native seedlings, sends sediment into waterways, compacts the soil, and reduces the resilience of our forests.⁠
