Non-members welcome!
At the PTYC Clubhouse!

Club Member, Grayson Connor, will share his experiences sailing to Ports of Call around the world. He has counted 38 countries, including some small island nations that he has visited by boat! Along the way he has learned a thing or two and has plenty of stories to share. Most importantly, he will take the mystery out of vessel shipping/relocating and the comfort he found through sailors of like interests exploring the world's ports and connecting via radio.

Club member, Dan Newland, will regale attendees with his storied sailing history, having won the Singlehanded Transpac race three times. Not only did he race his boats but he built them as well. Pictured is Pegasus XIV, Dan's 14th boat, crossing under the Golden Gate Bridge just after the start of the 1992 Transpac race from San Francisco to Kauai. He designed and built this vessel from scratch, also designing the carbon fiber fabric used in the hull and deck as well as some of the sail cloth used in her sails. He certainly had a secret sauce to winning, both the races and his wife Linda, also an accomplished single-handed sailor. Everyone is welcome to come share in the stories of sailing the world with Dan Newland.

Boating Experience Sharing!

PTYC is hosting another peer-to-peer experience sharing session:

'Boating From a Very Large Boat Perspective” with Captain Duane Madinger.

On Saturday, September 21st at 10am in the PTYC Clubhouse

As a previous skipper of very large cargo ships including the Exxon Valdez (after its famous grounding), Duane is an excellent source to explore the problems that very large ships have with us boaters as well as some of the problems they have themselves with navigation, ship maneuvering, and communications. It should be a very interesting session to make us all better boaters. No RSVPs needed – Free and open to all!
See the website for the clubhouse location and updates!
