This is Operation Healing Waters.
My wife, Maria, and I started this nonprofit after nearly 35 years of combined active-duty military service.
Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand the challenges many veterans face when transitioning out—stress, isolation, and the difficulty of finding a new sense of purpose. At the same time, we’ve seen how much kids in our community need strong mentorship, guidance, and positive outlets.
We created Operation Healing Waters to bring both together.
Through guided fishing experiences, we provide a space where veterans and youth can step away from everyday stress, build real connections, and find something meaningful on the water.
For veterans, it’s a chance to reset and reconnect.
For kids, it’s mentorship, confidence, and a positive path forward.
This is more than fishing.
It’s about healing, purpose, and community.
We’re just getting started, and we’re committed to building something that truly makes a difference here in Southeast Louisiana.
