❤️ Good news for Blessings in a Backpack – Port St. Lucie!

Through the end of this week, Sonny’s BBQ at 5001 20th Street in Vero Beach is helping raise funds for our program!

If you’re stopping by for lunch or dinner, you’ll have the opportunity to make a donation to Blessings in a Backpack – Port St. Lucie, helping us provide food for local children who may otherwise go hungry over the weekend.

Every donation—big or small—helps us fill another backpack. 🎒❤️

Please share this post and help us spread the word!

Thank you, Sonny’s BBQ, for supporting the children in our community! ❤️

It’s here! ❤️📦

Our food order for the new school year has officially arrived, and this will help provide weekend meals for local students through the first half of the school year.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared our mission, or supported Blessings in a Backpack in any way. Every dollar, every share, and every helping hand has made a difference.

A special thank you to our amazing donors. Because of your generosity, these boxes are more than just food—they’re peace of mind for families and nourishment for kids who need it most.

And we’re not stopping here! We’re already planning our 2nd Annual Blessings in a Backpack Thanksgiving Packing Event this November, and we can’t wait to bring everyone together again to help even more students.

Thank you for believing in this mission and for helping us make sure no child has to face the school day hungry. ❤️

As we wrap up our final food bag packing of the school year for Blessings in a Backpack, our hearts are so full. 💛

Because of our amazing volunteers, donors, schools, and community supporters, hundreds of children were able to go home each weekend this school year with food in their backpacks and one less worry on their minds.

Thank you to every single person who donated, packed bags, shared our mission, sponsored food drives, or supported us in any way this year. What may seem like a small act can make a huge difference for a child and family facing food insecurity.

As we head into summer break, we know the need does not stop when school ends. If you know of a family or child who may be going without food this summer, please reach out to us privately. We will do our best to connect families with available resources and support.

Thank you for helping us make a difference in our community this school year. We truly could not do this without you. 💛🍎🎒

We are incredibly grateful to Michael and Eileen Barbaro for their generous grant through their charitable fund in support of Blessings in a Backpack.

Because of their kindness and commitment to our community, more children will have access to the food they need over the weekends — helping ensure that no child has to worry about hunger when they are away from school.

This support goes beyond meals. It brings comfort, stability, and hope to local families, and it reminds us how powerful community generosity can be when we come together for a shared purpose.

Thank you, Michael and Eileen, for believing in our mission and for making a real difference in the lives of children right here in our community. 💛
