✨💜🩵And that’s a wrap for H.Y.P.E School Year 2025-2026!

A huge thank you to each of our dedicated youth members for your commitment, creativity, and passion for making a difference in our community. You are the heart of H.Y.P.E., and we are so proud of all you’ve accomplished this year.

We also want to give a very special shoutout to our graduating seniors, Alyssa and Ariel.

Alyssa, our President, has led with confidence, compassion, and determination, helping guide our group through another successful year.

Ariel, our Historian & Communications Lead, has beautifully captured our memories and shared our story with the community, leaving a lasting impact on H.Y.P.E.

Both of these young ladies have been such a special part of our H.Y.P.E. family, and while we will miss them dearly, we are excited to see all the amazing things their futures hold.

Once H.Y.P.E., always H.Y.P.E. 🩵💜✨

💚✨ Take What You Need ✨💚

As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, our H.Y.P.E youth created decorative “Take What You Need” note cards filled with positive reminders, encouragement, coping skills, and self-care tips for their peers and friends.

This week’s focus was self-care: Our youth learned that the right kind of self care for the right situation can be a game changer for improving mental health and overall wellness. Sometimes self care means resting, sometimes it means reaching out, setting boundaries, taking a walk, journaling, laughing with friends, or simply taking a moment to breathe.

Through interactive workshops, our youth explored healthy ways to care for their minds and bodies, then turned what they learned into uplifting messages to share with others.

Because everyone deserves a reminder that they matter, they are supported, and they are not alone.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, our H.Y.P.E. youth remind us: "Mental health is essential and your body is a temple!"

💚 Take time for self-care, protect your peace, and pour into yourself the same love you give to others.

Need a little extra help and care with your mental health? Take the first step in pouring back into yourself. You don’t have to do this alone—support is available!

For Mental Health Awareness Month, H.Y.P.E youth are taking the lead💜🩵🧠

This month, we’re sharing Mental Health Minis: Short, powerful clips created by teens, for teens, and the adults who support them. Each mini is designed to spark conversation, reduce stigma, and remind our community that mental health matters.

Today’s message: “Maintain, don’t contain your mental health.”
Your feelings are meant to be supported and not bottled up. You are not alone in your journey, and help is always within reach!

Be sure to check out today’s clip, which includes a QR code linking directly to the St. Lucie RISE / St. Lucie Cares Behavioral Health Resource Guide which is a trusted source for local mental health resources right here in our community.

This week at H.Y.P.E, our youth continued diving into our core value of Mental Health Advocacy 💚

We made great progress on our Middle School Survival Guide: A meaningful resource created by our youth to support and encourage incoming 6th graders as they navigate a new chapter. Filled with humor, “real talk”, practical advice, and life lessons born of challenges faced by our youth.

Our youth also began working on this year’s H.Y.P.E Mental Health Awareness PSA and a Mental Health Awareness Month daily morning announcement script, using youth voices to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and inspire others in our community.

We’re so proud of the leadership, creativity, and heart our youth continue to show each week!

“We’re not all doing it.

Some of us are choosing to focus.
Some of us are choosing good health.
Some of us are choosing to handle stress the right way.

Let’s amplify the voices that don’t always get heard!!!

Today at H.Y.P.E, our youth took powerful steps forward 💬💚

We dove deeper into planning for Mental Health Awareness Month, bringing thoughtful ideas, passion, and purpose to the table. It’s inspiring to see young leaders so committed to breaking stigma and creating real change in their community.

We also kicked off something special—a High School Survival Guide, created by our high schoolers to pass down to our middle school students. From real-life advice to encouragement and lessons learned, this guide is all about lifting each other up and making the path a little easier for those coming next.
