PSJ Community Foundation

PSJ Community Foundation Established in 2019 the Port St. We encourage business participation. The foundation is for all and everyone is welcome to participate in events and meetings.

John Community Foundation is a public charity hosting community-focused events, including a Golf Classic, Thunder Over the Indian River Fireworks, Fay Lake FestiFall, Corn Hole Tournament, and the PSJ Christmas Parade. Established in 2019 by dedicated community volunteers, the Port St John Community Foundation in partnership with our generous sponsors, are building the resources that serve our com

munity. The foundation will hold community events throughout the year supported by fundraisers and donations from businesses and residents. There is no charge to join and our intent is not to require donations or volunteering for membership. Our vision is to bring the community of Port St John together for growth and success and to enhance the well-being of present and future generations. Why we need the Port St John Community Foundation? Port St John is unincorporated which means we are a community within Brevard County that is not governed by a local municipality. Being unincorporated, we are subject to county taxes and fees but services like waste management and emergency protection mostly come from county resources. We do not have city elected officials or city police protection. Our community is not eligible to receive a municipal share of revenue-sharing funds necessary to hold events specific to our community as other incorporated cities in Brevard County receive.

Here’s how it works:

Another PSJ Hero Passes
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Wayne Weathers, a great husband, father, grandfather, community volunteer
and friend.

For nearly 36 years, Wayne dedicated countless hours to volunteering and serving the Port St. John community with the Port St. John Jaycees, Thunder Over the Indian River, Port St. John Christmas Parade Committee and Port St. John Community Foundation.

His generosity, commitment and willingness to help others made a lasting difference in the lives of so many. Whether lending a hand at community events, supporting local projects or simply being there when someone needed him, Wayne’s contributions helped make Port St. John a stronger and more connected community.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Wayne’s family, friends and all who are mourning his loss. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of service and community spirit will continue to inspire us for years to come.

Rest in peace, Wayne. Thank you for your nearly 40 years of dedication to Port St. John. Your service will never be forgotten.
