The JSL of PSJ Annual Chili Cook-Off The Junior Service League of Port St Joe Annual Chili Cook-Off is held the last Saturday of January

January 28th, 2023
100 Village Drive, Port St Joe FL
Near the Haughty Heron

TEAM RULES:
Set up begins at 10am, Chili must be ready to serve at 11, judging from 11-2, open to public 12 Noon till chili runs out, winners announced at 3:30pm.
*Please make sure you bring your own extension cord.
- Entry Fee: $25.00
- 8 foot table will be provided, but bring your own chairs
- Small tasting cups, spoon

s for eating and serving cups will be provided
- Please bring serving utensils
- You need to be there to serve your chili
- Cook your chili at home and bring to show
- Cook 5 gallons of chili
- Any and all toppings allowed
- Decorate your table to show off your team spirit
- If you need power, bring an extension cord
- Pop up canopies are allowed if you want

Awards are :
1) Judges Pick (secret judges will blindly test and vote)
2) People’s Choice (person with the most vote tickets)
3) Spirit Award (best decorated booth)

Team registrations are already rolling in for the 2026 JSL Chili Cookoff, so we wanted to share a quick look back at the 2025 winners. Hard to believe January is right around the corner, and we can't wait to see who takes home the awards this time!

*1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners were chosen by 3 independent judges. To ensure fairness, each judge is provided with anonymous chili samples (no team names included) and a scoring sheet to rate each sample. The judges remain anonymous, make their decisions privately in separate rooms, and do not participate in the event as attendees.

This weather lately has us a little chilly. Wait. Did someone say...CHILI?? WooHoo! We are BACK on January 31st for the 16th Annual JSL Chili Cookoff. So grab your teams and Let's Go!

If you have a chili recipe you are proud of or one you think deserves a little spotlight, this is your chance. We hand out awards for Best Chili (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place), Most Spirited Team, and People’s Choice, so whether you are competitive or just want to show up and have some fun, we have a spot for you!

We will also have vendors again this year. So if you are an artist, maker, food vendor, or small business, join us! The crowd loves to browse and shop while they make their tasting rounds.

It is always a fun time for a great cause, and we cannot wait to see who participates this year!
