The 67 Foundation

The 67 Foundation Supporting the next generation of vocational-technical students, in memory of Michael & Olympia DeNittis Their story inspired people all across the world.

Lee and Mullie DeNittis were childhood sweethearts who grew up a block apart in Port Reading, New Jersey. They were a hardworking pair, children of Italian immigrants who worked their way into the post-World War II middle class as a seamstress and cabinet maker. They passed away just before Valentine's Day 2014 - 32 hours apart after 67 years of marriage and 90+ years of courtship. Today, the cost

of pursuing post-secondary trade and vocational school is high, and in many cases cost-prohibitive. Few private loan opportunities exist for our next generation of plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, etc. - and even fewer scholarship opportunities. The 67 Foundation Scholarship Fund seeks to support New Jersey's next generation who will fulfill these important roles. We seek to give out 67 scholarships to 67 students over the next 10 years - one for each year of their marriage. You can support The 67 Foundation by visiting our website, http://www.the67foundation.org/. ALL CONTRIBUTIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE! This site is dedicated to their memory - both their lives, and their deaths - and all those they may inspire.
