Southern Oregon Coast Pride is conducting a Community Needs Assessment to better understand the needs, priorities, and experiences of Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ community members across Coos and Curry Counties.
Your voice will help shape our future programs, events, outreach, and advocacy.

This community gathering brings us together to honor loved ones, raise awareness and support su***de prevention efforts in our area.

September's read will be Alligator Tears by Edgar Gomez, a heartfelt and memoir that explores family, identity, belonging and the complexities of growing up q***r and Latinx in America. Gomez shares personal stories of people, places and experiences that shaped who he is.

Come see us at Pony Village Mall tomorrow!

About the event:
The ODHS teams in Coos and Curry counties are starting two new, monthly, free community events designed with rural communities and their needs in mind.
The goal is simple: Reduce barriers by bringing multiple resources, services and supports together in one place. A true one-stop shop!
You can connect with ODHS and our community partners that offer resources like:
• Free food
• Employment support
• Veterans services
• Substance use and mental health services
• And more
Our first events in North Bend and Brookings will also have a back-to-school theme, with free school supplies, vaccines and fun raffles!
Coos County:
Pony Village Mall
1611 Virginia Ave., North Bend
10 a.m.–1 p.m.
First event: Thursday, Aug. 27
After that: Every third Thursday of the month, starting Sept. 17
Curry County:
South Coast Equity Coalition – Brookings Office
555 Hemlock St., Brookings
10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Every fourth Thursday of the month, starting Sept. 24

We'll be meeting at the visitor center at 6 p.m. and carpool to the trailhead by 6:15 p.m.
